Community service paper

My community service was done with Mr.Gillette's SPED class downstairs.I chose this as my community service because I wanted to step out of my comfort zone.Little did I know I was going to end up loving it so much. One of the first things we did was decorate the door for the Christmas door decorating contest.Although we did not win,I had alot of fun working with the students and getting to know every one of them.Lal likes to take pictures.Ahmed likes Jordan sneakers and Gregory is obsessed with numbers. These are just some of the few things I have learned from each child. After the door decorating contest, I participated in basic daily classroom routines such as DIN & learning new lessons.Working with students even gave me a chance to put my communication skills to the test

By helping and interacting with these students I learned to have lots of patience and be very kind.Community service was not only a positive experience,it was an experience I will carry with me..This was my opportunity to give back and learn from other people.Though my community service was 11 hours, I did not get to do a whole lot. However I got to work with kids in my school that have a different day than I do.Participating in programs such as this can benefit special needs with an extra hand not only in class but in their everyday schedule.Community Service benefited me by working on my communication skills and allowing me to impact these kids in a positive way.

Throughout history there have been a series of un-political revolutions that have affected communities socially and economically. These revolutions have changed society forever.

One un-political revolution that impacted society was the Neolithic Revolution. The Neolithic revolution (12,000 years ago) was the “mother” of all revolutions. Once people learned how to domesticate plants and animals, an end was put to hunting and gathering. This was the start of all civilizations. People later on began to trade and sell the products that they made on their farms. If it wasn’t for this other revolutions would have not taken place. The Neolithic revolution was important because it showed people there were other ways to contain food other than having to hunt for it.

Another revolution that impacted societies was the Industrial Revolution. The industrial revolution took place in Great Britian (1790-1870).This was a period in which rural societies in America and Europe became industrial and urban. Advances in textile machines & steam powered engines created mass production. It increased volume and variety of manufactured goods and an improved standard of living for some, it also resulted in better employment and living conditions for the poor and working classes (Urbanization)

These revolutions have provided ideas and influenced societies over thousands of years. If it wasnt for these revolutions we would not be as advanced today. The Neolithic revolution allowed civilizations to settle down and farm, then later on the industrial revolution allowed machines to produce more and more products. Both of these revolutions changed the way people lived by allowing them to make more out oflife using natural resources.
